Press Release

28 August, 2025

Medak: Seerat conveys its deepest sympathies to the families affected by the devastating floods in Kamareddy and Medak districts. The relentless downpour has swept away homes, claimed precious lives, left many injured, and forced hundreds to seek shelter in relief camps.

This calamity has not only disrupted normal life but has also placed vulnerable communities in grave danger. We call upon the authorities to intensify rescue operations, ensure timely medical assistance for the injured, and provide safe evacuation for those stranded.

We acknowledge the unyielding efforts of rescue teams, law enforcement, and volunteers who have risked their own safety to save others. Their commitment is a reminder of the strength and compassion that binds our society together in moments of crisis.

The people of these districts must know that they are not alone. We urge citizens, institutions, and welfare groups across the country to extend every possible support to ease the suffering of the victims.

Looking ahead, there is also a pressing need to strengthen disaster-preparedness systems so that such tragedies can be mitigated in the future. Building stronger infrastructure, creating early warning mechanisms, and prioritizing vulnerable communities must become an immediate concern.

Finally, we appeal for a comprehensive relief and rehabilitation package to help families rebuild their lives with dignity and stability.

Seerat Medak
